R&D Crucible

Join us, for the R&D Crucible at the Bucktail site on Horse Run Rd, Shinglehouse, PA

We will camp near or in the pavilion, bonfire, this is a social event.  

Bring a table to sell of your extra stuff.   If we get enough players we will have a vendor on site.

We will have classes; Radio Communications, Map Reading, Calling in drone drops, Orienteering, and more.  We will have space available for you to sell your personal gear you don’t use.  We will have camping under a roof or open sky if you prefer.  Night games, daytime games and squad on squad.  Bring a table and sell off your old gear.

I’ll have the deep fryer out with chicken wings and perogies for sale Friday and Saturday night bring cash $10 per Doz.

Ticket includes: an event patch, and an R&D tourniquet

After you attend 5 Crucible events you get a Free ticket to one of our 24 or 40 hour events. 

Gameplay & Schedule

Duration: all day Saturday and Sunday till 14:00 (free Camping)
Dates: September 25 – 27 2026

FRIDAY

• Gates Open – 16:00
• MEPS Opens – 17:00
• Processing Closes – 20:00
• Event Brief – 20:30
  (Players may sleep in vehicles or off-site or on site)

SATURDAY

• MEPS Opens – 08:00
• Processing Closes – 11:00
• Event Brief – 11:15
• Engagement Begins – 11:30 (Continuous Operations)

SUNDAY

• Cessation of Military Engagement – 14:00

Field & Camping

The operation takes place — on Horse Run Road, Shinglehouse, PA. 700 acres of rugged terrain, forest, and ridgelines.
For this event, approximately 200 acres will be active for gameplay, expandable based on player turnout.

Follow R&D signage from the Road to the parking area.

Vehicles & Equipment

• ATVs permitted (limited number; must follow R&D rules)
• Drones permitted (for approved reconnaissance use)
• Technical vehicles allowed — contact R&D for coordination and safety approval
• Ammo provided — do NOT bring BBs
• Eye protection (ANSI Z87.1 or higher) required
• Radio is highly recommended
